Cut Your Monthly Bills by $384
These days it seems that all of us have to be extra careful with our
money. In the last two months I undertook a simple exercise which cut my monthly bills by $384 immediately.
Simply copy what I did to see how much you can save.
Lower Your Monthly Bills In Two
Simple Steps
The recent financial meltdown has left a lot of people struggling for
cash. My family is doing okay but we really do have to stretch our budget to the limit in order to survive.
That is what I undertook an audit of all my fixed expenditure to see if I could cut my
bills.
Fixed expenditure for those of you who need an explanation is
typically monthly bills such as the mortgage, loans rent, rates, telephone and car insurances. Because most
of these types of item get renewed every year automatically the supplier know that most people are too lazy
to check that they really are getting the best prices, preferring the convenience of simply taking their
annual price increase.
Well I was certainly guilty of not checking the prices I was paying
across all my fixed costs. Therefore I decided to sit down and get comparative quotes for
everything.
This was actually much easier than I imagined as I soon discovered
there are lots of handy online price comparison sites that quick comparison tools across all the utilities I
buy in. The key sites I found where Comparethemarket.com and Confused.com both offer impartial comparisons on
everything (although they do get a small introductory commission they are in my experience committed to
giving their visitors links to the best deals).
Anyway I was blown away at how much money I was able to save in just a
few short hours. I was careful to check policy details to ensure I was getting like-for-like on any new
provider I went with. In all I managed to save a total of $384 a month of my bills.
Can you imagine how excited I am about this? So much so that I intend
to carry out this type of review a few times every year.
Now I suggest you get a mug of coffee, pull out all your bills and do
the same. I really do sincerely hope that you manage to cut your monthly bills as dramatically as I
have.
